  • Speak to a minimum of 3 mentors prior to choosing a mentor or mentors. The list will show you three, however as you scroll down the system will show you more mentors.
  • In order to get the most up-to-date wisdom from your mentor, our suggestion is that you and your mentor schedule a session at least once a month.
  • You can connect with different mentors for different skills and info. You can have multiple mentors to help with different aspects of your life, career or business. Don’t limit yourself to just one.
  • If a mentor isn’t delivering the value you desire, terminate the connection on WisePrime. Its fast easy and easy.
  • Both Mentors and Mentees are expected to rate the experience after each session. Treat your mentee as you would any customer. Keep in mind that the mentee/protégé is paying you for a service. They should be treated with the proper respect you would expect to receive as a customer.
  • There is a notes section on your meeting space page. Please use the notes section. It will allow you to refresh your memory as needed. Also, if you switch mentors, notes will allow you to share some of what you have learned from pervious mentors with new mentors.
  • WisePrime provides a free messaging application. Use this to contact your mentor if you have any questions or when beginning a session to make sure your both online.
  • Once a session is over, rate the mentor while the experience is fresh in your head.

User tips for Mentors

  • Make sure you answer the questions about you and your expertise and complete your profile as best you can. Completing your profile makes you attractive to mentees and help connects you with the right mentee who’s seeking your knowledge.
  • Make your bio and info attractive. Make sure your profile accurately describes what you have done and what you have accomplished. Feel free to include interests you have outside of your professional life.
  • When establishing your pay rate keep in mind the higher you charge the less volume you are likely to have. We recommend mentors begin by charging between $50.00 and $100 per hour and adjust as they learn what works. If you believe your experience garners a higher price point feel free to charge what you see fit.
  • Review the mentees/proteges bio before you accept their invitation. This will increase the chances you speak with people who will find value in your knowledge.

  • It’s a good idea to share articles, relevant content or anything you think could be helpful to your mentees. Use the messaging app to share any relevant content with your proteges.
  • It’s a good idea to go to your LinkedIn profile and routinely post that you’re a mentor with wiseprime.com. This helps the community but also increases your chances that mentees/proteges will notice you and seek you for advice.
